Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3DCRT)

We have been offering three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT) services to our patients since 1995 and we continue to upgrade our three-dimensional treatment planning and delivery.

A dedicated computerized tomography (CT) scanner in the radiation oncology division acquires image data sets for 3DCRT treatment planning. These data sets are augmented by contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) images acquired in the radiology department.

Three medical linear accelerators (Varian Oncology Systems) in Temple and Killeen are equipped with multi-leaf collimators (MLC) and computer-controlled treatment sequencing systems.

At Scott & White, we offer a comprehensive array of 3DCRT procedures such as:

  • Contrast-enhanced CT scans of the head and neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis
  • Conformal therapy of the brain and spine
  • Conformal therapy for lung cancer
  • Conformal therapy for breast cancer
  • Conformal therapy for tumors in the male and female pelvis
  • Conformal therapy for pediatric patients
