The Internal Medicine Residency program at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock is at the heart of our regional expansion into the vibrant and growing Austin region. Graduate Medical Education at Baylor Scott & White Health - Central Texas is affiliated with Texas A&M College of Medicine and has a long history of driving excellence in Medical education. With 21 residency programs and 18 fellowship programs, it is one of the largest GME programs in the nation.

Baylor Scott & White Health - Central Texas facilities operate under one electronic medical record (EMR) as a fully integrated system with all specialties under one umbrella. Baylor Scott & White focuses on population health, quality outcomes, patient experiences and huddles that emphasize the LEAN principles.

How to apply


Our residents have access to excellent academic faculty, exposure to wide clinical pathology and research. We have developed an innovative clinical and academic curriculum that we think will provide the essential skills needed for the residents to be successful physicians.

Admission to the Texas A&M College of Medicine Graduate Medical Education program at Scott & White is granted without regard to race, religion, sex, creed or national origin. All house staff is required to hold either a Texas Medical Board (TMB) Physician-In-Training Permit or a Texas Medical License and must meet and maintain the requirements for obtaining such. All new Scott & White Medical Center employees, house staff and senior medical staff are required to undergo a mandatory substance abuse test as a condition of employment. Drug screen will include nicotine testing as we are a Tobacco Free campus.
