General Surgery Residency Program Application and Selection Process
Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), which electronically transmits residency applications, letters of recommendations, Dean's Letters, transcripts and other credentials from your medical school directly to all the program directors you select. Contact your Student Affairs Office for assistance in submitting an application.
After a thorough review by the Admissions Committee, an email notification will be sent to applicants who will be invited to interview with our Program. The Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine – Scott & White sponsors only the J1 visa for those individuals who require a visa in order to be work-authorized.
The deadline for applications and all supporting documents for our program is November 1, 2011. The interview selection process will begin in mid-September. Early application is encouraged, as interview slots will fill up.
