UT College of Pharmacy Residency Application Process
Because the residencies at Scott & White are affiliated with the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, a concurrent application is required. The University of Texas (UT) application may be obtained by visiting the UT EID website. Letters of recommendation will be requested on your behalf from specific individuals you name. They will be automatically posted to a secure site at UT so that they may be viewed by programs to which you have applied.
This website requires the use of UT EID for access. If you do not have the UT EID login and/or password, please choose the appropriate link within the above UT webpage. The process to obtain a UT EID is relatively simple and requires only submission of basic demographic data.
Official transcripts should be addressed to:
Postdoctoral Training Committee
ATTN: Sherrie Bendele
College of Pharmacy
The University of Texas at Austin
1 University Station A1900
Austin, TX 78712-0120
Only one copy of official college of pharmacy transcripts is required and, as noted above, should be sent to UT. If you have any questions about the application process, please email utexasresidency@utlists.utexas.edu
or call 512-232-5409.
Interview Process
Our first formal opportunity to talk with interested students will be at the "Residency Showcase" at the TSHP meeting in April. The TSHP showcase is a great venue - especially for students who may not be going to the Midyear Meeting. Our second opportunity will be at the ASHP Midyear meeting in December.
On-site interviews in Temple will be extended to only those who:
- Complete the UT application online
- Complete the separate brief S&W application
- Have excellent letters of recommendation from hospital preceptors they worked with during their first P4 rotations
- Have a record of excellent academic performance
The interviews typically begin in late January and end the last week of February. Dates are flexible if you will be concurrently interviewing at other central Texas residency sites, which we highly encourage.
