Clinical Pastoral Education Eligibility Requirements

  • Pastors, seminary students or lay people with an interest in ministry are eligible for enrollment in a CPE program.
  • Candidates applying for the year-long residency must have a bachelor's degree and have completed or are pursuing a Master of Divinity or equivalent.
  • Residency candidates must have finished one unit of ACPE CPE
  • Candidates with complete application packets, including a non-refundable $25 application fee, will then be considered for an interview. This process is a team interview with CPE supervisors and members of the Pastoral Education Consultation Committee.
  • If extended an offer into the program, the candidate is asked to submit a letter of acceptance along with a $75 deposit that will be applied to the tuition.

Program Schedule

Summer Internship (grants one unit of CPE)

  • June - August annually; currently accepting applications

Residency (grants four units of CPE)

  • August - August annually; currently accepting applications.

Extended CPE (grants one unit of CPE)

  • January - May annually; currently accepting applications
