Department of Family Medicine
The Department of Family Medicine employs more than 130 board-certified/board-eligible family physicians in regional clinics throughout Central Texas – many providing full family medicine services, including inpatient care and some obstetrics and gynecology. These physicians are supported by a large multi-specialty group practice. For employment opportunities, visit our Physician Career Opportunities.
Each Family Medicine regional clinic is managed by a physician and administrator team. System administrative support includes the departments of human resources, payroll, legal, financial services, marketing, information systems and corporate compliance. Regional Clinic Operations has fiscal and operational responsibility for the department, managing budgets, staffing levels and facility requirements. For questions, contact Richard Naser , Administrator of Regional Clinic Operations.
The regional physicians have the full support of Scott & White for convenient referrals when needed. For information regarding patient referrals or to refer a patient online or by fax, please visit our Physician Referral/Physician Relations site.
The Department of Family Medicine, through its affiliation with Texas A&M College of Medicine, offers core and elective rotations for third- and fourth-year medical students. In addition, we have our own accredited Family Medicine residency on site as well as academic oversight of three other Texas residencies.
With the never-ending goal of enhancing patient care as part of the Scott & White vision, Family Medicine research plays a large role in the future of healthcare, promising advances in technique, technology and personalization.
