Primary areas of focus are the appropriate use of patient report in assessing pain, barriers to effective pain management, and principles of analgesic use in acute pain and chronic cancer-related pain.  Any licensed nurse with the goal of impacting pain management practice by increasing knowledge of pain assessment and interventions, both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic, to improve patient outcomes is encouraged to attend.

The workshop will focus on ECG changes found in ischemia, infarction, bundle branch blocks, axis deviation, aberrancy, and reentry phenomena. Practice sessions will be included to allow for application of the information presented. Attendees should have a working knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and treatment.
